Adult Classes & Studio gatherings
Lucky Star Studio is building adult programming for people who want to learn a process, try something different, work with their hands, or spend an evening around other people making things.
Programs include Wednesday medium-based classes, Friday Date Nights twice a month, Sunday Coffee & Craft sessions with guest artists, workshops, and seasonal studio gatherings.
SUNDAY DROP-IN OPEN STUDIO (Sundays 10am–4pm) Our Sunday drop-ins offer a relaxed, self-guided space to socialize and craft at your own pace.
Oct 4: Scrap & Yap & Collages – Build custom mixed-media art (bring 2 magazines to donate to our studio stash and get $5 off!)
Oct 11: Ofrendas – Craft traditional altars and tribute pieces honoring loved ones
Oct 18: Bedazzle Costumes & Props – Bring your costumes or accessories to deck out in rhinestones and flair
Oct 25: Clay Craft & Coffee – Enjoy a cozy morning hand-building with clay alongside a warm cup of coffee
Nov 1: Art Journal Walk – Combine an outdoor stroll with reflective sketching and journal entries
Nov 8: Friendship Bracelets & Paracord – Design custom woven jewelry, keychains, and cord creations
Nov 15: Fashion Design – Experiment with garment concepts, fashion sketching, and surface design
FRIDAY EVENING ART CLASSES (Fridays 5pm–7pm) Unlike our casual Sunday drop-ins, Friday nights are structured, guided adult workshops focused on specialized techniques, seasonal decor, and fun nights out.
Oct 9: Macrame Antler or Planter – Learn essential knotting techniques to weave a wall hanger or planter
Oct 16: Hollowed Pumpkin Candles – Pour hand-crafted soy candles directly inside real, hollowed-out pumpkins
Oct 23: Sewing Clinic & Costumes – Bring your own sewing machine, hand-sew, bring any project you need help with, or let us set you up with one!
Oct 30: CLOSED – No class held; open studio space reserved for community trick-or-treaters
Nov 6: Seasonal Doormat Painting – Stencil and paint a custom, durable welcome mat for your front porch
Nov 13: Paint Each Other Date Night – A fun, interactive portrait-painting session perfect for couples or friends
Nov 20: Beginner Watercolor – Learn essential watercolor washes, color mixing, and layering techniques

Grab a coffee, drop in, and make something. Open Studio is a relaxed daytime creative hangout with a new art or craft project each week and everything you need provided. Come whenever works for you, stay awhile, work at your own pace, and leave with something you made yourself — no class, no pressure, no experience needed.
Your new favorite excuse to get out of the house. Every week, Lucky Star turns the studio into a creative night out with a completely new art or craft project you’ll actually want to make and take home. Come solo, bring your bestie, make it a date night, or just give yourself something fun to look forward to — all materials are included, no experience is needed, and you get to leave with something you made yourself.
